First put equation one into slope intercept form. So add 8x to both sides which is y=8x-13. Then graph it. Since they have different y intercepts and the same slope there is no solution

horrorfan [7]
You would have to do 2,000*4 Because there are 4 per pound. You would have to eat 8,000 to have eaten a actual ton of them. XD Nice question btw.

If the point A (10, 4) is reflected above the line y = x. Identify the transformed point?
Nataliya [291]

The transformed point if reflected over y = x is (4, 10)

Reflection of coordinate

Reflections are transformation technique used to change the position of an image on an xy-plane.

Given the coordinate (10, 4), if this coordinate points are reflected over y =x, this shows that we will simply swap the coordinate points to have (4, 10)

Hence the transformed point if reflected over y = x is (4, 10)

Dalia buys a winter jacket at a used clothing store that costs $30. She lives in Idaho, where the sales tax is 6%. Write an equa
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Discussion

Question One

The first question is just to derive a formula that represents the cost of anything bought in Idaho.

c = p + 6/100 * p

c = p + 0.6 * p

c = 1.06 p

Question Two

The second question requires an entirely different formula. You don't use the first formula. You just use it's idea. Further, you take the sales tax only when you know how much money has exchanged hands.

c  = (p - 30/100 p) + 6/100*(p - 30/100 * p)

c = (p - 0.3p) + 0.06* (p - 0.3p)

c = 0.7 p + 0.06*(0.7p)                          Combine the right side

c = 0.7p + 0.042p                                 Combine

c = 0.742p

33.39 = 0.742p                                        Divide by 0.742

33.39/0,742 = p

p = 45 dollars

The original cost was 45 dollars

Kiara found the solution for the inequality, 3.2 <-9.5 + x.
Yuri [45]
Kiara did pretty good, but she misinterpreted the final inequality. if 12.7<x that means that x is larger than 12.7. So she should have shaded the number line to the right in stead of to the left. So D is the answer.
