Remark
That is going to result in some very heavy duty money.

Equation
P_n = 6^n
P_n = payment in nickels

Check
Let n = 1
P_n = 6^1
P_n = 6
P_3 = 6^3
P_3 = 216 Just what the question said we should get

Question
Find P_8

Put the formula into your calculator like this.
6
^    Some calculators x^y and others use y^x instead of ^
8
=

Do they want scientific notation for the first 2 blanks? Have you studied that yet?
P_8 = 1.6796 * 10^6
First blank = 1.6796
The second one = 6

The third one is 1,679,616

Keisha is reading a 325-page book at a rate of 25 pages per day. Use a point-slope equation to determine
GuDViN [60]
To determine whether Keisha will be able to finish reading the book in 10 days, establish first the point-slope form of the scenario.

If we let y be the number of pages in a book and x be the number of days the slope-intercept form is as follows:
    y = 25x

To determine the value of x if y is equal to 325,
   325 = (25)(x)

    x = 325/25
    x = 13

Since the value of x is greater than 10 then, Keisha will not be able to finish reading the book.

An experiment will be conducted to test the effectiveness of a weight-loss supplement. Volunteers will be randomly assigned to t
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

Option c. The distributions of weight loss of the two treatments are approximately normally distributed.

Step-by-step explanation:

To increase the confidence level, the results must be able to satisfy the following conditions:

  • The sample size is increased. This reduces the margin of the error in the sampling experiment.
  • Reduction of the variability. This means that the less the data varies, the more precise the data is.
  • Using the one-sided confidence level
  • Lowering the confidence level.

All these characteristics can only be satisfied by the normal distribution curve.

Which of the following is not a solution to the system of linear equations below? 5y=3x+15 6x=10y-30 A. (5, 6) B. (–15, 12) C. (
Alecsey [184]
Option B is not a solution.

5y=3x+15
5(12)=3(-15)+15
60=-45+15
60≠-30

Hope I didn't mess up for your sake!
