In the stories, Helios had to grant Phaeton a drive on the sun god's chariot to confirm that he (Helios) was his real father. The determination caused problems when Phaeton failed to control the chariot and almost burned up Mother Earth until Zeus intervened.

In the Lion and the mouse the consequence to the lion’s arrogance was that he got caught by hunters, however, he was set free by the mouse learning his lesson. In The Story of David and Goliath, Goliath was killed for underestimating David and David went on to marry the king’s daughter. However, he was not the only one who underestimated the young shepherd. The Israelites also underestimated David and made fun of him for believing that he could kill Goliath. (I’m sorry I don’t know the other story)
