Answer:

The balcony seat costs $9,  the orchestra seat costs $9 + $6 = $15.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x is the cost/price of one balcony seat, in dollars.

Then the cost of one orchestra seat is (x+6) dollars, according to the condtion.

The total cost of tickets is

250x + 400*(x+6) = 8250.

Simplify it step by step.

250x + 400x + 2400 = 8250,

650x = 8250 - 2400 = 5850  ====>  x = 5850/650 = 9.

Answer.  The balcony seat costs $9,  the orchestra seat costs $9 + $6 = $15.

Check.   9*250 + 15*400 = 8250.  Correct.

A light bulb factory produces 1,188 light bulbs every hour. Approximately 3.83% of the light bulbs are defective, and do not wor
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

The standard deviation of the number of defective bulbs produced in an hour is 6.615

Step-by-step explanation:

Binomial probability distribution

Probability of exactly x sucesses on n repeated trials, with p probability.

The expected value of the binomial distribution is:

E(X) = np

The standard deviation of the binomial distribution is:

\sqrt{V(X)} = \sqrt{np(1-p)}

In this problem, we have that:

p = 0.0383, n = 1188

What is the standard deviation of the number of defective bulbs produced in an hour

\sqrt{V(X)} = \sqrt{np(1-p)} = \sqrt{1188*0.0383*(1-0.0383)} = 6.615

The standard deviation of the number of defective bulbs produced in an hour is 6.615

What could you do to make the inequalities that are not true into true statements
mars1129 [50]

Answer: example, if both sides of the inequality are multiplied by a negative number, say -3, we get (-2) x (-3) < 7 x (-3) 6 < -21 When both sides of the inequality are multiplied by a negative number, the resulting inequality is not true. To make the resulting inequality true, we have to reverse the inequality symbol.
