Answer;
DNA replication allows the basic units of heredity found on segments of DNA, called genes, to be passed on from parent to offspring.

Explanation;
DNA replication involves the synthesis of other new DNA helices from the parent DNA helix in which the two strands of the parent DNA acts as templates to synthesize new complementary strands. This is a semi-conservative process in which the new DNA helix contains one strand from the original DNA and one new strand.
By so doing the process allows genes (segments of DNA) to be passed from the parents to the offsprings.

The gene is the basic unit of heredity that is present in the DNA segment. During DNA replication, these genes are passed from one generation to generation.

Further Explanation:

DNA replication is referred to as the copying of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) of a cell. The mechanism of DNA replication is similar to each and every organism. It is a semiconservative mechanism. DNA is a double helix structure and each of its strand act as a template which is essential for the synthesis of new complementary strand. During the process, the genes of the parents are transferred to offspring.

This process helps in the formation of two daughter cells with an equal number of chromosomes. Each new cell contains one new and one old strand of DNA. DNA replication includes four basic steps, first formation of the replication fork. DNA polymerase is the enzyme that helps in unzipping the double helix structure into two separate strands. The second step is primer binding that is required for the formation of complementary strand. The third step in DNA elongation and the final step is termination.

TiliK225 [7]
Compound Microscope Compound microscope is commonly used in the schools and colleges. It comes under the category of microscopes used in biology. It has two lenses namely the objective lens and the ocular lens. It provides a magnification of 1500X. Eyepiece lens is of 10X or 15X power. It is used to observe bacterial, protozoa, various cells, etc.

Dissecting Microscope It is also called stereo microscope. Its magnification power is less than the other microscope. It gives a 3 dimensional picture. Due to the low magnifying power they are used to observe little bigger objects than other microscopes. They are used in the surgeries, dissection, forensic science etc.

The lengthy small intestine receives secretions from the ____________ and ____________, completes digestion of the nutrients in
vitfil [10]

Answer:The lengthy small intestine receives secretions from the ______pancrease______ and ______liver______, completes digestion of the nutrients in _________chyme_______, absorbs the products of digestion, and transports the remaining residues to the ________large________ intestine.

Explanation: digestion of food is necessary for absorption of nutrients. In this process food is broken down into forms that can be absorbed by the body . food is broken down by the teeth and the enzymes in saliva,when it is in the mouth. From there it moves to the stomach through the oesophagus. In the stomach, the content is further mixed with enzymes and the churning breaks down food further.From the stomach food moves to the small intestine. In the small intestine, digestive enzymes from the pancreas and liver acts on food. The small intestine is where digested food is absorbed.it has a large surface area and finger-like projection called villi to carry out the function of absorbing nutrients.

From there, undigested food us passed to the large intestine from where it is passed out through the anus
