8 0

To solve this equation, first replace x with its value, 8. Find 7^2 (49) and 8-4 (4). Then find 4^2 (16), and add 49 and 16 together, which is 65. Because 65 is greater than 55 by 10, the correct answer is b.

A car wheel is 56 cm in diameter. A. How far does the car go in one revolution of the wheel?
andre [41]

The car moved 175.84 cm in one revolution

The car has moved 17584 cm in 100 revolutions

Solution:

Given that car wheel is 56 cm in diameter

diameter = 56 cm

To find: distance traveled in one revolution of wheel

Usually wheel is of circular shape

one revolution of wheel = circumference of circle

The circumference of circle is given as:

c = 2 \pi r

We know that,

diameter = 2(radius)

d = 2r

So the circumference becomes:

c = \pi d

substitute \pi = 3.14 and d = 56 cm

c = 3.14 \times 56 = 175.84

Thus the car moved 175.84 cm in one revolution

B. How far does it go in 100 revolutions

Distance covered in 100 revolutions = 100 x Distance covered in 1 revolution

\rightarrow 100 \times 175.84 = 17584

Thus the car has moved 17584 cm in 100 revolutions

If my bill is $160 and they’re going to takeoff 25% of the total bill how much money will I give them
zlopas [31]

$40 will be taken off the bill and you will be paying a total of $120.

Multiply 160 by .25 to find the amount taken off ($40), and then subtract from the total to find the amount that you will be paying ($120).

Have a great day!
