Answer:

(2,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us graph our first equation

y = 2x - 3

Bring y to the right hands side and 3 to the left hand side of = we get

2x-y=3

Diving each term of the equation by 3 we get

\frac{2x}{3}-\frac{y}{3}=\frac{3}{3}\\\frac{x}{\frac{3}{2}}+\frac{y}{-3}=1

Hence we have converted our equation into intercept form, in x intercept is \frac{3}{2} and y intercept is -3.

Now we mark the two points are as (\frac{3}{2},0) and (0,-3)

Shown as red line in attachment.

x + y = 3

Dividing both sides by 3

\frac{x}{3}+\frac{y}{3}=1

Hence our x and y intercepts are 3. Thus we plot coordinates (3,0) and (0,3) and join them together to graph our line.In attachment it is shown in as blue line.

Please refer to the image in the attachment. The two lines intersect at (2,1)

This is our solution.

I first used substitution to get my answer and then used graphing to check. You can easily get a graphing equation by rearranging the second equation.<span />

A girl scout leader rented a bus for a trip to the museum. The bus company charged $275 plus $.35 for each mile traveled over 35
slava [35]

Answer: The trip was 440 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

A girl scout leader rented a bus for a trip to the museum.

Let x represent the number of miles

traveled over 350 miles.

Let y represent the total cost of travelling x miles

The bus company charged $275 plus $.35 for each mile traveled over 350 miles. This means that for x miles, the cost will be

y = 275 + 0.35x

If the bus trip cost $429, it means that y = 429

To determine the number of miles,we will substitute y = 429 into the equation. It becomes

429 = 275 + 0.35x

0.35x = 429 - 275 = 154

x = 154/0.35 = 440

x = 440 miles

Students can take MATH 080 between one and four times. The student's tuition for MATH 080 is $ 548.00 If the tuition is increa
melamori03 [73]
2nd attempt carries a price of 6% extra, so (6/100) * 548 is 32.88, so 548 + 32.88, the price is 580.88.

for the 3rd attempt 6% extra of that, (6/100) * 580.88, is 34.8528, so the price is 615.7328.

4th attempt is 6% extra of that, (6/100) * 615.7328, 36.943968, adding that will give us 652.676768.
