Health

Answer:

They have the same velocity.

Explanation:

In order to know the answer, we have to consider using the formula for  "velocity."

<u>Velocity</u><u> refers to the speed that an object has according to a given direction.</u>

  • <u>Velocity Formula</u> = v = \frac{displacement}{time}

1. We'll have to get the velocity of Runner #38 first.

displacement = 3.2 miles

time= 24 minutes, 28 seconds

Let's convert 28 seconds to minutes: 28 sec. × \frac{1 min}{60 sec} = 0.47 minutes

So, 24 minutes, 28 seconds is the same with 24.47 minutes

Let's compute for the velocity.

v = \frac{3.2 miles}{24.47 minutes} = 0.13 \frac{miles}{minute} (this is the velocity of Runner #38)

2. Next, we have to get the velocity of Runner #103 in order to compare them.

displacement = 3.2 miles

time = 24 minutes, 22 seconds

Let's covert 22 seconds to minutes: 22 sec. × \frac{1 minute}{60 seconds} = 0.37 minutes

So, 24 minutes, 22 seconds is the same with 24.37 minutes

Let's compute for the velocity.

v = \frac{3.2 miles}{24.37 minutes} = 0.13 \frac{miles}{minute} (this is the velocity of Runner #103)

Thus, we can conclude that "they have the same velocity."

A nurse is caring for a child who ingested kerosene. what is the nurse's priority?
andre [41]

Nurse should check the respiratory rate first.

Kerosene ingestion can lead to damage of lungs directly, aspiration pneumonia, rapid breathing, gasping, vomiting, and persistent coughing.

<h3>How does kerosene damage humans?</h3>

There are no conclusive ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion) data for kerosene because it is a chemical mixture. Kerosene is thought to be eliminated from circulation by the liver and lungs.

By inhaling liquid (aspiration), one of the main exposure routes, one is exposed. Kerosene spray applications can cause pulmonary irritation symptoms including coughing and dyspnea. Kerosene vapors can be somewhat irritating to the respiratory system. Although local irritation could arise from acute dermal exposure, it is not thought to be a skin sensitizer. Kerosene exposure may have CNS side effects such as agitation, restlessness, ataxia, sleepiness, convulsions, coma, and even death.

Why should we choose a plant-based diet? Can we solve world hunger? Can we slow down global warming? Can we stop deforestation a
rjkz [21]
This may seem harsh, but honestly, we can never solve these problems. The plant diet is most likely to help animals not get killed, right? Well, sadly, even if all of Texas stops eating meat, there are millions of states and countries that will still eat meat. Currently, there are 7.4 billion people living, so even if 10,000 stopped, it would make no difference. For global warming, people may cut down on driving and things like that, but we need certain things that are made in factories, and we need cars and all that stuff. Deforestation? Forget about it. People are very selfish and they want more and more land for themselves and they want to build more establishments. They don't care about animals losing their homes and they don't think about how trees are our oxygen supply and their cutting them down.Cancers and disease is different. Science has made some pretty amazing breakthroughs, but you certainly can't completely rely on it to cure everything. They may be able to decrease our chances of getting those illnesses, but I highly doubt that they can completely cure it.
