1. Assessment: 65
    Actually: 73
2. Formula: Assessment / Actually
               = 65 / 73
               ⇒ 0.9 ( round to the nearest tenth )
3. Is that right ?
    If it is wrong, I feel pretty sorry and please tell me.

What role does gravity and inertia play in our Solar System?
Varvara68 [4.7K]
It keeps the planets in orbit.

Inertia is what keeps an object moving (in the same direction). Gravity is the pull of an object to another.

The planets have reached the perfect medium to where inertia keeps the planets moving (instead of remaining completely still in space), and gravity pulls them toward the sun so that they move around it instead of moving straight past it or straight into it.

This is also true about the Earth and the moon.

This is also true with satellites in orbit.

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (2, 3)
Komok [63]
Slope is found when you put y2-y1/x2-x1. So your equation would be (-2)-2/6-3.
That answer would be -4/3. Nothing can be simplified further, so that is your answer

What is the equation of this line in slope intercept from?
ryzh [129]

The correct answer should be B: y = -3x + 2.

Since the line crosses the y axis at 2, your y-intercept should be 2. Using rise over run you can compare the equations to the graph. If you convert 3x to a fraction, it would be 3/1x. Since the line is going down 3 and the rise of the y = -3x + 2 is -3, that part is correct. The line also moves over 1 unit, so the run is 1, therefore the correct slope would be -3 or -3/1.  Now if you combine what you have it should be y = -3x - 2, which is the same equation as B.

The slope is 3/2. The slope perpendicular to that would be -2/3

The molarity of a solute in solution is defined to be the number of moles of solute per liter of solution (1 mole = 6.02 × 1023
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

a) 0.65

b) 0.1581

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

Distribution of X:

Mean = 0.125

Standard deviation = 0.05

Distribution of Y:

Mean = 0.350

Standard deviation = 0.10

Solution:

M = X + 1.5Y

a) mean of M

\mu_M = \mu_X + 1.5(\mu_Y) = 0.125 + 1.5(0.350) = 0.65

b) standard deviation of M

If X and Y are independent then,

Var(X+Y) = Var(X) + Var(Y)\\Var)aX) = a^2Var(X)

Var(M) = Var(X+1.5Y)\\Var(M) =Var(X) + (1.5)^2Var(Y)\\Var(M) = (0.05)^2 + (1.5)^2(0.10)^2 = 0.025

Standard deviation of M =

=\sqrt{Var(M)} = \sqrt{0.025} = 0.1581
