Answer:

hello!

Explanation:

There was more demand, therefore increased prices.

By the end of 1941, farm income was higher than at any time since 1929. Between 1940 and 1945, net cash income for farmers increased from $4.4 billion to $12.3 billion. The average farmer went from a net income of just over $700 to over $2,063 – yet farmers still earned only 57 percent of what their urban cousins made.

When the U.S. officially entered the war, the need for food increased even more. Soldiers could fight only as long as they had food to fuel their bodies. So, farmers were exhorted to produce even more.

For example, Hormel had introduced the canned meat product Spam in the 1930s. It proved to be an ideal combat ration because it could be shipped easily and wouldn't spoil for long periods of time. By mid-war, Hormel was producing 15 million cans of Spam for the troops each week. Net sales doubled. Hormel was buying 1.6 million hogs each year, and 90 percent of the canned goods were going to the military.

Farmers were being asked to produce much more food with fewer workers, and in addition, they had to comply with a whole new set of regulations.

• To buy a tractor, the farmer dealt with the War Production Board that was more interested in steel for tanks than steel for tractors.

• To ship products to market, there were regulations to be met from the Office of Defense Transportation.

• Farm labor problems were handled by the War Manpower Commission.

• And the prices farmers got were set by Congress and Office of Price Administration.

• The War Food Administration handled USDA programs.

What had begun in the Depression as modest price support programs were now institutionalized, and farmers were becoming more and more dependent on the federal government.

The political structures of the thirteen British colonies in North America can best be compared to the political structures
Salsk061 [2.6K]

The correct answer is b) American Indian communities of the Iroquois Confederation.

The political structures of the thirteen British colonies in North America can best be compared to the political structures of the American Indian communities of the Iroquois Confederation.

The Iroquois Confederation was conformed by many tribes such as the Ondonaga, the Mohawks, the Oneida, the Cayuga, and the Seneca. However, each tribe had its form of government with a form of the council where native Indians elected their delegates.

The 13 colonies considered themselves different colonies with special characteristics, customs, cultures, and forms of government. They were in the same North American territory but lived under different rules.

That is why we considered them as different groups in terms of culture (the types of people), landscape (the land and location), and reasons for settlement. Those cultural differences and belief systems created their own identities.

Explain the factors that led to kennedy's victory over nixon
Gnesinka [82]
Fraud from the Chicago "river vote" gave Kennedy the State of Illinois and the electoral college victory.

"Kennedy won Illinois by less than 9,000 votes out of 4.75 million cast, or a margin of two-tenths of one percent. [16] However, Nixon carried 92 of the state's 101 counties, and Kennedy's victory in Illinois came from the city of Chicago, where Mayor Richard J. Daley held back much of Chicago's vote until the late morning hours of November 9. The efforts of Daley and the powerful Chicago Democratic organization gave Kennedy an extraordinary Cook County victory margin of 450,000 votes—more than 10% of Chicago's 1960 population of 3.55 million—thus barely overcoming the heavy Republican vote in the rest of Illinois. Earl Mazo, a reporter for the pro-Nixon New York Herald Tribune, investigated the voting in Chicago and claimed to have discovered sufficient evidence of vote fraud to prove that the state was stolen for Kennedy.
