Ethos, logos, and pathos are spelled different.
Ethos is spirit culture community.
Logos is a word of god.
Pathos evokes pity and sadness.

They all have different meanings so you could use them to make feeling for a character in a story and make the reader feel those emotions.

Ethos corresponds to the credibility or character of the speaker. This is the reason that when a seminar is given the main speaker in usually an expert in that particular field of study. This is especially true of the sciences: math, physics, atronomy, medicine, etc... Some areas are based on percieved expertise. This might be when considering moving overseas, a person who is considered credible might be one who has lived in that particular country.
Pathos speaks to the emotional connection with the audience. This can be found in an appeal to one's feelings. An advertisement for support for the homeless, comes to mind. It could also be one to Saint Jude's Medical Center, or even the local animal shelter. Each of these seek to tug on the listener's heart strings to draw them into making a commitment to help. This same method is used in writing to get the reader commited to the storyline.
Logos has to do with the logical argument. Often, this is supported by statistics. As an example, "27% of all smokers will develope some form of breathing problems before the age of 60." Now, such numbers are always subject to critique but they can still be very effective in swaying the reader to the writer's point-of-view.

Which topic is revealed through the imagery
Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

The correct answer is: self-expression.

Explanation:

In this poem, Langston Hughes describes the importance of self-expression by creating imagery where one man plays piano and expressed his feelings through music, which actually comes from a black man's soul. This artist uses self-expression to express pain and sorrow because he lives in a racist society. Therefore, music comforts him and helps him to escape from his sad reality and to express freely his feelings.

Read the excerpts from "Wrongful Convictions” by Jon Gould and Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson.
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

Misguided investigations can lead to unjust convictions.

Explanation:

The evidence I would use to prove this claim from each excerpt...

"Wrongful Convictions” - "...but they start down that path and they become more and more invested in that theory of the case, that they don’t see other facts in the case."

"Just Mercy" - "...our system’s disturbing indifference to inaccurate or unreliable verdicts, our comfort with bias, and our tolerance of unfair prosecutions and convictions."
