Stacy had a higher ratio, because when you divide the time they spent watching t.v over the time they spent reading Carey had 0.75 and Stacy at 0.80 which leaves stacy with the higher ratio.

now area of the T.V.=W×H=39×21.94=855.66 square inch

When Jim gets 12 books from Sam, his books will be $= x + 12$

And as per given question, they both now have equal books, so

$2x - 12 = x + 12$

Adding 12 in both sides

$2x - 12 + 12 = x + 12 + 12$

$2x = x + 24$
