Prompt Rubric | Checklist The Best Villain Many stories feature a hero who behaves honorably and fights for good. These same sto

ries often include a villain who behaves selfishly and stands at odds with the hero. In your opinion, who is the best villain from a movie or piece of literature? Think about what traits make him or her a good villain, and how he or she contrasts the hero. Write an essay that describes your favorite villain. Be sure to include details about the villain's characteristics, and compare those traits to the hero's characteristics. As you write, remember your essay will be scored based on how well you: develop a multi-paragraph response to the assigned topic that clearly communicates your controlling idea to the audience. support your controlling idea with meaningful examples, information, and references from the text. cite direct quotes and any information that has been paraphrased from the passages that you have read. organize your essay in a clear and logical manner, including an introduction, body, and conclusion. use well-structured sentences and language that are appropriate for your audience. edit your work to conform to the conventions of standard American English.

Since all the needed points and rules that you need to follow are already given, I can only give you some tips, to be more exact what couple of protagonist and antagonist you can describe in your essay. I think it would be nice and quite interesting to take a conflict between Harry and Draco from ''Harry Potter book series'' as a basis. Even though at first sight Draco might seem as a foolish, stubborn and arrogant person who always resist Harry, he also has some good traits and circumstances which made him as he is. There are too many points to discuss between these personalities.

What effect has ethnic studies had on you?
bija089 [108]

Answer:

Different ethnic studies...

Explanation:

Well, although I haven't really studied this topic in school, the topic "ethnic studies" has given me more diverse and unbiased opinions on many things. Such as stereotypes, how were they made, why and how do they affect that group of people. This field is mainly based on what educational standpoint everyone is at. People who are less educated will tend to rely on media and have a very biased perspective.

All of the following are effective organizational strategies for composing a speech except?
Gnesinka [82]

Answer:

D.) Being spontaneous when delivering the introduction.

Explanation:

Being spontaneous when delivering the introduction is not an effective organizational strategy for composing a speech. Being spontaneous can also be a risky strategy, as it can mean being unprepared or relying too much on charisma and not on information. While it is usually fine to add some level of creativity to the presentation, it is not advisable for it to be completely spontaneous.
