Answer:

The Scopes trial was a trial in Dayton, Tennessee in 1925, in which teacher John Scopes was accused for his defiant against the prohibition of teaching evolution in school, as the teaching of doctrines contrary to the biblical creation in Tennessee was banned in early 1925. Finally, Scopes was found guilty and fined with $100, but was not sentenced to jail. The Tennessee Supreme Court overturned this verdict in 1927 for a formal error, as it had not been handed down by the jury, as it should have been, but by the president of the court personally.

How did trench warfare come to define the western front
kondor19780726 [428]

<u>Trench warfare came to define the western front as follows:</u>

Trench fighting achieved its height on the Western Front during the World War I, which took place from 1914–18, when troops of millions of men fought one another in a line of trenches stretching from the Belgian coast to Switzerland via northeastern France.

One possible explanation that First World War on the Western Front resulted a enormous trench war was that Western Europe was heavily populated. The trench lines had the effect of putting Western Europe into two fortresses whose military forces were sieging one another along a single border. In the North, geography fought toward consolidation.

The idea of attacking the Confederacy by squeezing them like a snake from the East
mars1129 [50]

Anaconda Plan.

Explanation:

The idea of attacking the Confederacy by squeezing them like a snake from the East and West is known as the Anaconda Plan.

The South was not industrialized during this time, they mostly relied on agriculture. The North was the opposite and was becoming more industrialized. This would make it easier for the North to cut off the South and prevent them from getting their supplies.

During the Civil War, the Union wanted to "<em>constrict</em>" the South and surround them with Union troops from the East and the West. The Union wanted to prevent the South from obtaining supplies from the Mississippi River, land, and by the ocean.
