The Francresa Revolution was a movement aimed at economic liberalism, equal political conditions and social improvements.  This movement was influenced by the Enlightenment, an intellectual movement destined harsh criticisms of mercantilist economic practices, absolutism, and the rights granted to the clergy.

In 1789, France lived under the regime of Absolutist Monarchy. France was basically agrarian with a social division stratified between the monarchy, the nobility and the rest (bourgeoisie and proletariat).

The revolutionary movement began in the bourgeoisie and was joined by the proletariat. The French bourgeoisie, which supported the state, demanded the guarantee of its political rights and the commercial opening to develop the country's industry.

In short, we can say that among the options, the revolutionaries sought equality of political, social and economic conditions.
