The answer is an olfactory system.

The olfactory system is the only one that does not pass through the thalamus on its way to the cerebral cortex. This is enabled thanks to the pyriform cortex in the temporal region and some forebrain regions, such as hypothalamus and amygdala.
From receptors, stimuli are transmitted to the olfactory bulb. Olfactory tract projects to the pyriform complex and forebrain regions, which further project via the thalamus to the cerebral cortex.

Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

1. I have a body mass index of 21.5 kg/m^2.

2. On a scale of 1 - 10, I rate myself as 9.

Explanation:

Body mass index is a measurement of the amount of fat in the human body. It is calculated using the weight and height of an individual.

Since I have a body mass index of 21.5 kg/m^2, I fall into the standard range of healthy individuals. It ranges from 18.5 - 24.9 kg/m^2. Underweight is classified as people with Body Mass Index of less than 18.5. People with Body Mass Index of more than 25 kg/m^2 are obese.

Goals for my fitness include:

1. Maintaining my exercise routine so as to sustain my current BMI.

2. Eating healthier meals that would not predispose me to obesity.

30 POINTS!!! PLS FAST WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!! Consider this scenario:
Katen [24]

I’m assuming you want me to guess and describe that the food a basketball player should eat?? Tell me if I’m wrong.

Well since sports require strength, something that’s healthy or gives a lot of energy should be eaten before practice. For example, a salad or sandwich, or an energy bar or something caffeinated.

The food value for a salad is Vitamin A, Vitamin C, beta-carotene, calcium, folate, fiber, and phytonutrients. Leafy vegetables are a good choice for a healthful diet because they do not contain cholesterol and are naturally low in calories and sodium. Although an energy bar is a lot less healthier, the food value for that is about 200–300 Cal (840–1,300 kJ), 3–9 g of fat, 7–15 g of protein, and 20–40 g of carbohydrates, since it usually weighs about 30 to 50 grams.

AND YES, SPORTS PLAYERS SHOULD DEFINITELY DRINK SOMETHING BEFORE TRAINING—ESPECIALLY WATER. Or drink something caffeinate, like good old coffee and the food value for that is riboflavin (vitamin B-2), niacin (vitamin B-3), magnesium, potassium, and various phenolic compounds, or antioxidants.

Right after practice they should eat something warm and healthy since their bodies are probably tired and need to restore energy. Again, water is always a good choice, since all that running makes them dehydrated.

How does a "well-rounded" exercise program seek to improve overall fitness?
4vir4ik [10]
A well-rounded fitness program would mean there is lots of variability in the program! For example, the whole program wouldn't be just focused on getting abs but maybe also toning legs and arms! Also, a fitness program may have a certain diet involved but you will not eat the same thing every single day! Finally, you may do lots of different things to stay active like swimming, hiking, biking, and other cool things that are different. This would make a well-rounded program!

Hope this helps! Would absolutely love brainliest trying to get to expert today thanks!
