to find andys you simply had to divide one y by x such as which gets you your $/ft ratio. for bargains, you could multiply an x by 2.5 to get y and then do as done in step 1, but that would get you back to $2.50, so the answer fro bargain is in the problem. its essentially saying, for every x, multiply by 2.5, or for every foot, multiply by $2.50, getting you your $/ft ratio
