Determine which polynomial is a perfect square trinomial.

Answer:

The answer is A.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find perfect square trinomials you need to take the square root out of the first term in the polynomial and multiply that by the square root of the last term in the polynomial and then multiply those together by 2 and if it equals to the middle term then it is a perfect square trinomial. Answers C and D are wrong since when you multiply the square root of the first and last terms of the polynomial you get the middle term of the polynomial but, we need to multiply 2 as well which makes it not equal the middle term. Now, A and B both follow the perfect square trinomials but there is one clear difference that I didn't mention. Every perfect square trinomial follows the signs a^2 + 2ab + b^2 or it follows the signs a^2 - 2ab + b^2. Option B doesn't follow these signs but, Option A does making it the correct answer. Hope this helps you!

 <span>Trinomial Ax^2 + Bx + C is perfect square if:
A > 0
C > 0
B = ±2√A√C

36b^2 − 24b − 16
 C < 0

4a^2 − 10a + 25
 2√A√C = 2*2*5 = 20,
 B = −10

16x^2 + 24x − 9
 not perfect square,
 C < 0

4x^2 − 12x + 9
perfect square:
A>0,
C>0,
2√A√C
= 2*2*3
= 12
 = -B
= (2x − 3)^2
hope this helps</span>

The graph is falling on the left hand side and rising on the right hand side.

Since the two ends of graph are in opposite direction, the exponent of variable has to be odd. For an even exponent of leading term, the two ends are in same direction.

Since the graph is falling on left and rising on right, this indicates that the coefficient of leading term is positive.

So, the leading term must have:
1) Odd exponent
2) Positive Coefficient

Thus, option Fourth is the correct answer

3. Two cars are parked, 150m apart, and on opposite sides of a building. A camera on the top of the building rotates and can vie
allsm [11]

Answer:

<em>The building is 61.5 m tall</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

The image below is a diagram where all the given distances and angles are shown. We have additionally added some variables:

h = height of the building

a, b = internal angles of each triangle

x  = base of each triangle

The angles a and b can be easily found by subtracting the given angles from 90° since they are complementary angles, thus:

a = 90° - 37° = 53°

b = 90° - 42° = 48°

Now we apply the tangent ratio on both triangles separately:

\displaystyle \tan a=\frac{\text{opposite leg}}{\text{adjacent leg}}

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ=\frac{150-x}{h}

\displaystyle \tan 48^\circ=\frac{x}{h}

From the last equation:

x=h.\tan 48^\circ

Substituting into the first equation:

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ=\frac{150-h.\tan 48^\circ}{h}

Operating on the right side:

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ=\frac{150}{h}-\tan 48^\circ

Rearranging:

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ+\tan 48^\circ=\frac{150}{h}

Solving for h:

\displaystyle h=\frac{150}{\tan 53^\circ+\tan 48^\circ}

Calculating:

h = 61.5 m

The building is 61.5 m tall

What is the answer??
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

h(3) = - 140

Step-by-step explanation:

Generate the terms in the sequence by substituting n = 2 and 3 into h(n)

h(2) = h(2 - 1) × 2 = h(1) × 2 = - 35 × 2 = - 70

h(3) = h(3 - 1) × 2 = h(2) × 2 = - 70 × 2 = - 140
