Given Dorothea Lange’s approach to photography, what are 3 characteristics of the Hispanic farmworkers and their conditions that

she is trying to convey to Depression Era Americans?
History

According to Dorothea Lange's approach:

  • Hispanic work farmers lack adequate technology in order to improve the output of their goods, as well as the necessary infrastructure that would let them sell their products with ease. The latter is due to the poor conditions of the little roads that cross their locations.
  • Farmers lack the bargaining power in regards to industrial buyers, who leverage on their strong position and offer really low rates for the farmer's products.
  • Farmers are not associated. This hinders their possibility of improving their overall conditions, as they could improve their production methods and bargaining power if they were organized.

Would the poster still be effective if one had never read “In Flanders Fields?” Explain your opinion.
nydimaria [60]

The poster is effective without registration. However, a part of the message is lost because the message is decontextualized.

On the poster, you can see the image of a soldier in a field of poppy flowers. This image conveys the feeling that faith should not be lost in war contexts because this is the feeling that keeps the soldiers' will alive.

This image refers to specific combat of the First World War, however, it is still used as a reference to refer to the faith of the soldiers. Additionally, this announcement is intended to offer war bonds so that no context is mentioned, the purpose of the announcement is understood.
