40% of 60 is 24
60x.0.40=24
This means that they washed 24 cars on Saturday.
Subtract that from the total 60 cars, and you have the amount of cars they washed on Sunday.
60-24=36
The drama club washed 36 of the cars on Sunday.

60 x 40%

60 x .40 =  24

The drama club washed 24 cars on Sunday.
