When traveling at top speed, a roller coaster train with a mass of 12,000 kg has a velocity of 30 m/s. The kinetic energy of the train at top speed is 5,400,000

Explanation:

Kinetic energy is the energy obtained by an object due to its motion.

Or mathematically,      Kinetic energy = \frac{1}{2}mv^{2}

where       m = mass

                 v = velocity

It is given that mass of roller coaster is 12,000 kg and velocity is 30 m/s.

Therefore, calculate the kinetic energy as follows.

                   Kinetic energy = \frac{1}{2}mv^{2}

                                             = \frac{1}{2}12000 \times (30)^{2}

                                             = \frac{1}{2}12000 kg \times 900 m^{2}/s^{2}

                                             = 6000 \times 900 kg m^{2}/s^{2}

                                              = 54 \times 10^{5} kg m^{2}/s^{2}

Thus, kinetic energy is 54 \times 10^{5} kg m^{2}/s^{2}

______ function mainly in cellular movement
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer: Microtubules function mainly in cellular movement.

  • Microtubules are responsible for a variety of cell movements, including the intracellular transport and positioning of membrane vesicles and organelles, the separation of chromosomes at mitosis, and the beating of cilia and flagella.

  • Microtubules are filamentous intracellular structures that are responsible for various kinds of movements in all eukaryotic cells. Microtubules are involved in nucleic and cell division, organization of intracellular structure, and intracellular transport, as well as ciliary and flagellar motility.

What is diffussion ?<br>Defines osmosis?<br>what is hypotonic solution?
frozen [14]

Answer:

Diffusion is the net movement of anything from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. Diffusion is driven by a gradient in concentration. The concept of diffusion is widely used in many fields, including physics, chemistry, biology, sociology, economics, and finance.

noun

1.

BIOLOGY•CHEMISTRY

a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one.

2.

the process of gradual or unconscious assimilation of ideas, knowledge, etc.

A hypotonic solution has a lower concentration of solutes than another solution. In biology, a solution outside of a cell is called hypotonic if it has a lower concentration of solutes relative to the cytosol. Due to osmotic pressure, water diffuses into the cell, and the cell often appears turgid, or bloated.

Given the mRNA codons AGC UUC GAU, what would be the resulting amino acid sequence after translation?
saul85 [17]

Answer:

Option B) Serine-Phenylalanine-Aspartic acid

Explanation:

mRNA codons AGC code for the amino acid, serine while UUC code for phenylanine and GAU code for aspartic acid.

Thus, the resulting amino acid sequence after translation will be a tripeptide containing Serine-Phenylalanine-Aspartic acid
