Answer

Depth

Explanation

The ocean has three layers from the top to bottom containing different temperatures. The first layer is of warm oceanic water approximately 500 m think containing temperatures of about 20 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. The second layer is the thermocline layer characterized by a decreasing temperature with increased depth. The last layer is that of very cold temperature that extends to the deep ocean floor. There are other factors which affect the distribution of temperature of ocean water which include: latitudes, unequal distribution of land and water, prevailing wind and ocean currents.

Answer:

The correct answer is he depth of the ocean.

Explanation:

 • Temperature of ocean water changes with the depth changes.
 • Ocean is divided into 3 layers depending upon the depth.
 • The upper layer of 500 m depth contain warm water of approximately 20 - 25°C.
 • The second layer known as thermocline layer is relatively of low temperature water.
 • The third layer is most cold layer.
 • Actually the warmth of water is due to the absorption of sunlight heat.
 • Hence as the depth increase, temperature decrease.

Can a species diversity increase or decrease after a fire on a grassland
Fantom [35]
Species diversity refers to the number of different species in a community or ecosystem. So for example if you have an ecosystem and there are all different areas of that system like water, trees, and ground levels. obviously monkeys do not live in the water so, if you were to affect the water it would more than likely not affect the monkeys directly even though that water IS part of their ecosystem, but it will affect the other animals, living in that water. so if you were to take out a species in that water you are taking away a part of that ecosystem that makes it diverse. To answer your question, yes the species diversity can decrease after a fire on a grassland.
