Athens and sparta contributed to two entirely different things for the greek.
Athens is the center of culture, arts, and technologies while sparta is the center of millitary might.
When these two work together, no enemies had succeed in defeating the greeks. But their difference eventually led to conflict and war between these two city-states, which eventually caused the greek's downfall
