A salmon farm has seen its sales decrease by an average of 4 percent per year from a high of 15 million pounds in 2007. During t

he same period, it has increased its prices by an average of 6 percent per year from $1.50 per pound in 2007.
a. Determine how many pounds of salmon the farm sold in 2009. Then calculate the difference between dollars earned from sales in 2009 and dollars earned from sales in 2007. Round your figures to the nearest cent.

b. Calculate the minimum number of pounds of salmon the farm would need to sell at 2007 prices to match its 2009 earnings. Round your answer to the nearest pound.

c. Explain how government subsidies could help the farm become more profitable.
Using salmon as an example, explain the difference between bioaccumulation and biomagnification. Explain how aquaculture can reduce the risks posed by these phenomena to people who eat fish.

d. Identify and describe one environmental advantage and one economic advantage, other than those discussed in Part (c), of farming salmon rather than catching them in the wild.

Which of the following statements about solid-waste recycling is false? A) It’s less expensive for customers to separate their t
Damm [24]

Answer:

D) High-technology recycling provides many more jobs than low-technology recycling

Explanation:

High technology means that less labor is required for manual tasks. All manual tasks would be catered through technology which means that a lower number of labor would be required.

Therefore the statement that high-technology recycling provides many more jobs than low-technology recycling is false because it actually takes away jobs rather than providing jobs.

I hope the answer is helpful.

Thanks for asking.

Once upon a time...No, no, no! Hold it! Scratch that, would you? Why does it have to be "Once upon a time" ,all the time? How ab
DedPeter [7]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

If what you are asking is to write the first lines of a traditional fairytale, but changing that traditional approach to something different, innovative, or funny, then we can help you with the following.

Instead of the trite, corny, old-fashion "Once upon a time, in a far, far place...." What about this:

Somebody says this happened in the Middle Ages, but who cares. Not me. The thing is that there are a couple of morals in this story that could make you think about your role in life.

This is a story about character and determination. No beautiful towns, no bords, farm animals in a cozy village next to a beautiful river on a shinny hill. No handsome prince, no attractive princess. Just crude and raw day-to-day issues of life that would make you think how fortunate you are to live in different times...

If the viscosity of slime is high, does that mean the bounciness of the slime also high?
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer: No. Typically, the lower the viscosity is, the more it will bounce. If the viscosity of the slime is high, it will most likely just flatten out and not bounce at all.

Hope this helps!
