Answer:

Explanation:

1- The Federalist Papers were a series of 85 articles published in various New York newspapers in 1787/88.

2- They were intended to induce the people of New York State to approve the United States Constitution of 1787 drafted but not yet ratified.

3- The authors of the articles, alluding to the Roman consul Publius Valerius Poplicola under the common pseudonym "Publius" were Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay, three of the founding fathers of the United States.

4- The texts appeared in 1788 together in the font "The Federalist", from which derives their current name. It refers to the political grouping of federalists who advocated in the constitutional debate to transform the US from a loose confederation into a federal state with a strong, capable executive at the federal level. Since this point of view eventually prevailed, the Federalist Papers are still regarded today as an authentic constitutional commentary of the generation of the founding fathers and beyond as the basic theoretical writing of modern, representative democracy.

How did government policies prove bad for the economy of the Soviet Union?
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

The Soviet Union was very powerful for most of the 20th century. From political to military and economic strength. But the economy of the Soviet Union would eventually collapse, due to certain reforms to decentralise the economy.

The Soviet Union's economy was controlled totally by the government. The communist party coordinated the planning of production, distribution and institution of regulations and economic targets. The economy had a rapid growth at first but as the economy became increasingly complex, the average GNP growth started slowing.

Reforms like the sovnarkhoz, implemented in the late 1950s attempted to decentralise economic control. Restructuring reforms called the porestroika were also implemented but these could not compete at the global stage and therefore failed.

What did john adams mean when he said the revolution was in the minds of the people?
Len [333]
The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations. While the king, and all in authority under him, were believed to govern in justice and mercy, according to the laws and constitution derived to them from the God of nature and transmitted to them by their ancestors, they thought themselves bound to pray for the king and queen and all the royal family, and all in authority under them, as ministers ordained of God for their good; but when they saw those powers renouncing all the principles of authority, and bent upon the destruction of all the securities of their lives, liberties, and properties, they thought it their duty to pray for the continental congress and all the thirteen State congresses, &c.
