Answer:

Ms.Johnson folded <u>120 cards</u> and Ms.Siple folded <u>180 cards</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Ms.Johnson and Ms.Siple were folding report cards to send home to parents. The ratio of number of report cards Ms.Johnson folded to the number of report cards to Ms.Siple folded is 2:3. At the end if the day, Ms.Johnson and Ms.Siple folded a total of 300 report cards.

Now, to get the number of cards each person fold.

As, the ratio is given.

Ms.Johnson folded to the number of report cards to Ms.Siple folded is 2:3.

So, let the number of cards Ms.Johnson folded be 2x.

And, let the number of cards Ms.Siple folded be 3x.

Total number of cards folded by both of them = 300.

According to question:

2x+3x=300\\\5x=300\\\Dividing\ both\ sides\ by\ 5\ we\ get:\\x=60.

Now, to get the number of cards folded by Ms.Johnson and Ms.Siple we substitute the value of x:

Ms.Johnson folded:

2x=2\times60=120.

Ms.Siple folded:

3x=3\times 60=180.

Therefore, Ms.Johnson folded 120 cards and Ms.Siple folded 180 cards.

3rd question, I’m sorry guys but I was sick that’s why I didn’t attend school and the teacher said if I didn’t submit it by 5 ho
aniked [119]

Answer:

21.  ΔUYZ <u>Obtuse</u>

22. ΔBCD <u>Right or Rectangle</u>

23. ΔADB <u>Acute</u>

24. ΔUXZ <u>Acute</u>

25. ΔUWZ <u>Right or Rectangle</u>

26. ΔUXY <u>Equiangular and acute</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to classify each triangle by its angles.

Acute: They have 3 acute angles (less than 90 degrees).

Rectangle: The inner angle A is straight (90 degrees) and the other 2 angles are sharp. The sides that form the right angle are called legs (c and b), the other side hypotenuse.

Obtuse: The inner angle A is obtuse (more than 90 degrees). The other 2 angles are acute.

ΔUYZ Obtuse  The inner angle Y is obtuse (more than 90°).

ΔBCD Right or Rectangle The inner angle C is straight (90°).

ΔADB Acute It has 3 acute angles (less than 90°).

ΔUXZ Acute  It has 3 acute angles (less than 90°).

ΔUWZ Right or Rectangle The inner angle W is straight (90°).

ΔUXY Equiangular and acute Which means all the inner angles are equal (60°).

A horizontal trough is 16 m long, and its end are isosceles trapezoids with an altitude of 4 m, a lower base of 4 m, and an uppe
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

0.28cm/min

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the horizontal trough whose ends are isosceles trapezoid

Volume of the Trough =Base Area X Height

=Area of the Trapezoid X Height of the Trough (H)

The length of the base of the trough is constant but as water leaves the trough, the length of the top of the trough at any height h is 4+2x (See the Diagram)

The Volume of water in the trough at any time

Volume=\frac{1}{2} (b_{1}+4+2x)h X H

Volume=\frac{1}{2} (4+4+2x)h X 16

=8h(8+2x)

V=64h+16hx

We are not given a value for x, however we can express x in terms of h from Figure 3 using Similar Triangles

x/h=1/4

4x=h

x=h/4

Substituting x=h/4 into the Volume, V

V=64h+16h(\frac{h}{4})

V=64h+4h^2\\\frac{dV}{dt}= 64\frac{dh}{dt}+8h \frac{dh}{dt}

h=3m,

dV/dt=25cm/min=0.25 m/min

0.25= (64+8*3) \frac{dh}{dt}\\0.25=88\frac{dh}{dt}\\\frac{dh}{dt}=\frac{0.25}{88}

=0.002841m/min =0.28cm/min

The rate is the water being drawn from the trough is 0.28cm/min.

When sales of a particular hybrid automobile reach 60,000 units, federal income tax credits begin to phase out. One year after r
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

$750

Step-by-step explanation:

so, in short, we need to calculate 25% of $3000.

that is the amount of tax credit a buyer would get then.

direct and fast answer :

25% means 1/4 of the overall amount.

$3000 / 4 = $750

now, a little bit longer to explain % calculations in general.

let's say, we are talking 27%. now we have a problem to find a fast fraction as factor.

it always starts with the identification of 100%.

what is the full starting amount we are dealing with ? that is the 100%.

in our case $3000.

now, as a base for the calculation we determine 1%, which is 1/100 of 100%, of course.

1% = $3000 / 100 = $30

to get said 27% we have to multiply this by 27

27% = 1% × 27 = $30 × 27 = $810

or in general

x% = 100% × x / 100

that also works for more complex questions. e.g. calculate 1.5%

1.5% = $3000 × 1.5 / 100 = $30 × 1.5 = $45

and that is all there is to % calculations. all the questions are just some variations, where your are missing one of the 3 "ingredients" : 100% amount, x% amount and x itself.

and you need to transform the general equation above to get the missing piece of of the given information.
