Conservatism supports the traditional status quo of the country. It favors a strong government who does not control but exercises a rigid regulation of economic activities.
Conservatists are normally in favor of raising taxes, particularly to those businesses and individuals with high incomes. They do this with the objective of achieving proportionality among citizens. They support a major tax income because it is essential to maintain a strong military, which they believe is one of the pillars of the nation's success throughout its history.
Conservatists also emphasize on social stability. This is why they are reluctant to accept petitions by minority groups who claim for certain rights and favor strong punishment who those who behave unlawfully.
Article IV of the US Constitution establishes the responsibilities of the states to each other and the responsibilities of the federal government toward the states. Section 1 of Article IV requires that the states give “full faith and credit” to the public acts and judicial proceedings of every other state.
