You decide you will buy a stock only if it shows an overall increase over the next 30 days. The first 10 days it has an average

daily increase of $0.30. The next 10 days it has an average daily decrease of $0.45. The last 10 days, It has an average daily increase of $0.25.
How much did the stock change over the first 10 days?

How much did the stock change over the next 10 days?

How much did the stock change over the last 10 days?

First 10 days...average daily increase of 0.30 .....total increase for those 10 days is (0.30 x 10) = $ 3

next days.....average daily increase of 0.45....total is (0.45 x 10) = 4.50

last ten days...average daily increase of 0.25.....total is (0.25 x 10) = 2.50

it changed all together : 3 + 4.5 + 2.5 = + 10

It is showing an overall increase, so I guess u should buy it.

In class of 30 student, 10% of the students are male. How many female students are in class?
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

27 females are in the class

Step-by-step explanation:

Spilt 30 into 10 (30 divided by 10) and then you get 3. The number of males in the class is 3. Now subtract 30 from 3 and you get 27. Therefore, there are 27 females in the class.

In the diagram, what is the value of x?
myrzilka [38]
Hello!

The angle that measures 82 and the angle that is x are supplementary meaning that they equal to 180°

We can subtract the 82 angle to find x

180 - 82 = 98

x is 98

Hope this helps!

This table gives a few (x,y)(x,y)left parenthesis, x, comma, y, right parenthesis pairs of a line in the coordinate plane.
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

From the linear function formed by the points given in the table, it is found that the x-intercept is of -14.

<h3>What is a linear function?</h3>

A linear function is modeled by:

y = mx + b

In which:

  • m is the slope, which is the rate of change, that is, by how much y changes when x changes by 1.
  • b is the y-intercept, which is the value of y when x = 0.

In this problem, when x increases by 20, y decays by 6, hence the slope is given by:

m = -\frac{6}{20} = -0.3

Then:

y = -0.3x + b.

When x = -54, y = 12, hence:

y = -0.3x + b

12 = -0.3(-54) + b.

b = -4.2.

Thus, the equation is:

y = -0.3x - 4.2.

The x-intercept is the value of x when y = 0, hence:

-0.3x - 4.2 = 0.

x = -4.2/0.3

x = -14
