Although no excerpt is included here, we can still know who was responsible for collecting taxes in the United States under the Articles of Confederation.

Under the Articles, Congress was denied any powers of taxation. The central government was quite weak in this arrangement, and the responsibility of taxation fell to the states. Congress could then request money to the states, but the requests were rarely met in full, which left the central government constantly underfunded.

If I remember correctly from APUSH, the central government had no authority to tax so the taxation was left to state governments.

Explanation:

A social story is a tool used for the better understanding the aspects of interpersonal communication for people in the autism spectrum.

They are pictorial descriptions of a situation faced by people. Here, the social story would be describing what the other people are experiencing.

In its earlier stages social stories were made for high functioning people but later were modified to fit the needs of autistic people.

Answer:

a present/present bias.

Explanation:

Psychology can be defined as the scientific study of both the consciousness and unconsciousness of the human mind such as feelings, emotions and thoughts, so as to understand how it functions and affect human behaviors in contextual terms.

This ultimately implies that, psychology focuses on studying behaviors and the mind that controls it.

A present/present bias can be defined as the tendency of an individual to pursue instant gratifications by undervaluing future returns while significantly overvaluing present rewards. Thus, it typically involves giving more preference to immediate gratification (reward) at the expense of long term (future) returns, intentions or benefits.

In this scenario, James's faulty thinking is an example of a present/present bias because he only thought of all the times he used flashcards and got a great score while failing to consider it ponder on all the times he got a great score without using flashcards, as well as the times he used them and didn't perform excellently.
