Hyperadditive is what results when two drugs are added together to produce an amplified effect greater than the effect of the sum the individual drugs administered independently. Examples of such drug interaction that results in hyperadditive are heart medication plus licorice, ulcer medication plus Coumadin, ibuprofen plus Coumadin.
