The North industrialized faster than the South because D.) Southern businessmen saw no point in investing in industry.

The South was largely involved in agriculture. Thus, they focused more on that.

The North, on the otherhand, invested more on industrialize industry. Their weather condition also helped in their building and operating of factories.

The economy of the North was based on manufacturing as a result of indusrialization. Many immigrants from Europe began working in factories and producing goods used by the people in the North. Many factories began producing textiles with the cotton grown in the south. The economy of the South was based on agriculture.

I think this is the best answer because <span>West India Company or better known as the "Walloons" were the first permanent settlers in New Netherlands. One of their most important goals is "trading", and they wanted to build an agricultural colony for their 'trading' goal in New Netherlands.
