I think the answer is B) The students could not hear the bell ring in the cafeteria. If the arguement was hard to ignore, then they probably couldn't hear the bell.

Answer:

B) The students could not hear the bell ring in the cafeteria.

Explanation:

The text shows that there was a confusion that generated a lot of noise at lunch time and because of this, the students were late in class. Probably this happened because due to the noise of the confusion, the students could not hear the bell of the cafeteria that warned the end of the lunch hour.

Read these lines from Emily Dickinson's poem "324" ("Some keep the Sabbath going to Church"):
Georgia [21]

Answer: A. abcb

In this excerpt, Dickinson uses the rhyme scheme "abcb," as she rhymes "home" with "dome."

A rhyme scheme is the pattern of rhymes that a poem has. When we write out a rhyme scheme, we use letters to indicate which lines rhyme. Lines that have the same letter rhyme with each other. Therefore, in this example, the lines that end with "home" and "dome" are both labelled "b."
