The cone has the smallest volume of the 2 figures. This is because formula for cylinder is <em>b x h</em>, the formula for cone is <em>1/3(b x h)</em> so if they have <em />same height and <em>base area</em> cylinder would have larger volume because for cylinder, formula is one-third of <em>b x h. </em>Hope I helped!!  : )

Answer:

C)The base of the cone and the top of the cylinder have the same area.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Cylinder and Cone with same height and radius .

Solution :

Since height and radius is same of both cone and cylinder.

Volume of cone is \frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2} h

Volume of cylinder is  \pi r^{2}h

Thus the volume of cone is 1/3 rd the volume of cylinder having same radius and height.

Thus Option A and B is wrong

Option C )The base of the cone and the top of the cylinder have the same area.

Since radius is same

Base of cone = \pi r^{2}

Base of cylinder = \pi r^{2}

refer attached file .

Thus Option C is correct

Option D : The surface area of the cylinder and the surface area of the cone are equal.

Since height an radius is same

Thus the surface area of cone is \pi r^{2} + \pi r \sqrt{h^{2}+ r^{2} }

Surface area of cylinder is 2\pi rh +2\pi r^{3}

Thus areas are not equal

Hence Option D is wrong .

kotegsom [21]

Answer:

  -∞ ; x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph tends toward -∞ as x approaches 3 from the left. Thus there is a vertical asymptote at x=3, the value of x that makes the denominator zero.

Solve using substitution.
vazorg [7]

Answer:

(3,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-3y = -12

x+y=9. Solve for either y or x

-x. -x

y = -x + 9. Substitute this for the y

2x-3(-x+9)= -12

2x +3x-27 = -12. Add like terms

5x -27 = -12

+27. +27. Inverse operations

5x = 15

÷5. ÷5

x = 3

x + y = 9

3 + y = 9. Substitute 3 for x

-3. -3. Inverse operations

y = 6

The expression -3m - [2m + (5 - m)] + 7 was simplified as 2 - 4m. Without simplifying, explain how you can show that it has been
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

g(m) = 0

2-4m=0

2=4m

2/4=m

1/2=m------(1

p(1/2)= -3(1/2) - { 2(1/2) + (5- 1/2) } +7

= -3/2 - { 1 + 9/2} +7

= -3/2 - ( 11/2) +7

=-14/2 +7

= -14 + 14 /2

= 0/2

= 0...

since p(m)= 0,

we can say that g(m) is a factor of p(m)

hence, it has been simplified correctly...

1.Write the expression in expanded form. The subscript number can be write in
enyata [817]

Answer:

(a) Expanded form:

((X_1 + X_1Y_1) - X_1Z_1) + ((X_2 + X_2Y_2) - X_2Z_2) + ((X_3 + X_3Y_3) - X_3Z_3) + ((X_4 + X_4Y_4) - X_4Z_4)

(b) The value of the expression: -21

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\sum \limit^4_{i=1}\ ((X_i+X_iY_i) - X_iZ_i)

Solving (a): The expanded form:

This means that we substitute the values of i from 1 to 4 in the above expression.

So, the expression becomes:

((X_1 + X_1Y_1) - X_1Z_1) + ((X_2 + X_2Y_2) - X_2Z_2) + ((X_3 + X_3Y_3) - X_3Z_3) + ((X_4 + X_4Y_4) - X_4Z_4)

Solving (b): The value of the expression

To do this, we simply substitute the given values of X1, X2....... in the expression.

This gives:

So, the expression becomes:

((0 + 0*5) - 0*0) + ((1 + 1*26) - 1*-2) + ((12 + 12*-2) - 12*3) + ((-1 + -1*25) - -1*24)

Simplify each bracket

((0 + 0) - 0) + ((1 + 26) +2) + ((12 -24) - 36) + ((-1 -25) +24)

0 + 29 -48  -2

-21

<em>Hence, the result of the expression is -21</em>
