Asthenosphere

Explanation:

The asthenosphere is the upper part of the Earth's mantle. Located between 80 and 200 km of depth, it is a very viscous region. Given the condition of temperature and pressure in the asthenosphere, rocks in this region are very ductile, brittle and they can be bend very easily. Seismic waves pass slower through the asthenosphere than other regions of the mantles, due to the presence of these soft rocks.

Answer: The part of the mantle called the Asthenosphere is made of soft rock that bends like plastic

Explanation:

Layer lies just below the layer of lithosphere (rigid layer made by the crust and uppermost layer of the mantle). This include less rigid rocks than above which bends like plastic.

This soft layer is known as Asthenosphere.

emmainna [20.7K]
This item is solved through the concept of the conservation of momentum which states that the momentum before and after collision should be equal.
                                   momentum = mass x velocity
            (1,600 kg)(16 m/s) + (1.0x10^3 kg)(10 m/s) = (1600 + 1000 kg)(x)
The value of x is 13.69 m/s. Thus, their final speed is approximately letter D. 14 m/s.

sammy [17]

Answer:

Distance traveled during this acceleration will be 6950 m

Explanation:

Wear have given maximum speed tat will be equal to final speed of the car v = 278 m/sec

Constant acceleration a=5.56m/sec^2

As the car starts initially starts from rest so initial velocity of the car u = 0 m/sec

From third equation of motion v^2=u^2+2as

Putting all values in equation

278^2=0^2+2\times 5.56\times s

s = 6950 m

So distance traveled during this acceleration will be 6950 m
