In a free-enterprise system, the government does not have control on what the producers should produce in the market.

The market is filled with consumers with different income level, interest, and personalities. The producers would have to compete to guess the type of goods and products that would attract the most consumers.

The consumers on the other hand  have the full power to decide which goods and services would be beneficial to them and buy them whenever they can.
