joja [24]

The correct answer is C) wealth should be enjoyed by all Americans.

What Truman meant when he said “We have rejected the discredited theory that the fortunes of the Nation should be in the hands of a privileged few” was that wealth should be enjoyed by all Americans.

During his State of the Union Adress of 1949, President Harry S. Truman expressed the quote above. The economy of the United States was transitioning from a wartime to peacetime and people were demanding more jobs and the opportunity to improve their living conditions.

Harry Truman (1884-1972) became the 33rd President of the United States after the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt.

do you think that the US would have become a world power if the articles of confederation had remained the basis of government?
devlian [24]
No, I believe that multiple weaknesses in the Articles of Confederation would have hurt America in time. One of the biggest problems was the lack of detail and specific attributes that the Constitution brings from long discussion and debates over what is best for the country. America needed to strengthen it's central government if it wanted to get anywhere, so we may not have become so powerful if we left the majority of the power in the state's hands. Another lacking component was the fact that we had no Executive branch to enforce Congress' laws and no National court to determine the meaning of the laws. Another example is the making of one currency for the entire country. These examples and more could have hurt America if they wouldn't have written the Constitution.

Answer:

To increase the production of cotton farming.
