we know that

The angle below horizontal that an observer must look to see an object is called <u>the angle of depression </u>

The angle above horizontal that an observer must look to see an object is called <u>the angle of elevation</u>

In this problem we have

the horizontal is the line KL

and the angle  below horizontal between Carlos and the car is equal to

Angle LKI

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

The angle of depression from Carlos to the car is the angle LKI

I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is option C. The angle of depression from Carlos to the car is angle IKP since Carlos is making the observation from point K, the ground is at point P and the car is at point I thus the points makes an angle.

Y=-2x²-8x-5 domain and range
Jobisdone [24]

Answer:

Domain: All real numbers

Range: y≤3

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is

y =  - 2 {x}^{2}  - 8x - 5

This is a polynomial function.

The domain is set of all values of x, that makes this function defined.

Since polynomial functions are defined everywhere, the domain is all real numbers.

To find the range we put the function in vertex form:

y =  - 2( {x}^{2}  + 4x) - 5

y =  - 2( {x}^{2}  + 4x + 4) - 5 +  - 4 \times  - 2

y =  - 2( {x}  + 2)^{2} - 5 + 8

y =  - 2( {x}  + 2)^{2}  +  3

The maximum value is 3

The function turns downward, hence the range is:

y \leqslant 3

Korvikt [17]

First picture:

2 and 7 are alternate exterior angles, which when added together need to equal 180 degrees.

Angle 7 = 180 - 146 = 34

Answer is B.34

Second picture:

Angle 8 = 48

Angle 8  + angle 7 = 180

Angle 7 = 180 - 49 =  131

Angle 5 and angle 7 are vertical angle, so angle 5 = angle 7 = 131

Angle 6 is a vertical angle to angle 8 so = 49

Angle 1 = angle 5 = 131

Angle 2 = angle 6 = 49

Angle 3 = angle 7 = 131

Angle 4 = angle 8 = 49
