The population will reach 540 000 in 30.8 yr.

The formula for population growth is

<em>P</em>_<em>t</em> = <em>P</em>_0 × e^(<em>rt</em>)

540 000 = 270 000 × e^(0.0225t)

e^(0.0225t) = 2

0.0225t = ln2

t = (ln2)/0.0225 = 30.8

I believe since you are looking for the angle of M<ABC, you just add both 120 and 25 together, since they practically share a point.

So 120 + 25 = 145

So I guess 145 would be your answer.

I remembered this type of problem from Geometry.

Estimate the different by rounding each number to the nearest tenth : 0.68-0.17
Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

0.68 - 0.17

0.68 ≈ 0.7

0.17 ≈ 0.2

0.7 - 0.2 = 0.5

Identify as a direct variation, inverse variation or neither. The number of tons of coal burned by an old coal burning locomotiv
Lynna [10]
The answer for the question shown above is the first option, which is:
 - Direct.

 The explanation is shown below:
 1. The problem says that <span>The number of tons of coal  varies as the number of hours.
 2. Therefore, you can write the following equation:
 number of tons:x
 number of hours:y
 x=ky
 Where k is the constant of variation.
 3. Therere the variation is direct.</span>

Given the position of the particle, what the position(s) of the particle when it’s at rest
choli [55]

The position function of a particle is given by:

X\mleft(t\mright)=\frac{2}{3}t^3-\frac{9}{2}t^2-18t

The velocity function is the derivative of the position:

\begin{gathered} V(t)=\frac{2}{3}(3t^2)-\frac{9}{2}(2t)-18 \\ \text{Simplifying:} \\ V(t)=2t^2-9t-18 \end{gathered}

The particle will be at rest when the velocity is 0, thus we solve the equation:

2t^2-9t-18=0

The coefficients of this equation are: a = 2, b = -9, c = -18

Solve by using the formula:

t=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt[]{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

Substituting:

\begin{gathered} t=\frac{9\pm\sqrt[]{81-4(2)(-18)}}{2(2)} \\ t=\frac{9\pm\sqrt[]{81+144}}{4} \\ t=\frac{9\pm\sqrt[]{225}}{4} \\ t=\frac{9\pm15}{4} \end{gathered}

We have two possible answers:

\begin{gathered} t=\frac{9+15}{4}=6 \\ t=\frac{9-15}{4}=-\frac{3}{2} \end{gathered}

We only accept the positive answer because the time cannot be negative.

Now calculate the position for t = 6:

undefined

Given:
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

The CONVERSE of p → q   is   q → p will be written as

i.e If 3x -4 = 20, then 2x = 16.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

p: 2x = 16

(one statement)

q: 3x – 4 = 20

(another statement)

The given statement is p → q can be written as

i.e IF 2x = 16, then 3x – 4 = 20

The CONVERSE of p → q   is   q → p will be written as

i.e If 3x -4 = 20, then 2x = 16.
