V=1/3(pi)r^2 h
225 cm^3=1/3(pi)(5 cm)(h) *I'm thinking that 10 cm must be the diameter of the cone so 5 cm would be the radius

225 cm^3=26.179 (h)

8.594...=h

rounded = 8.6 cm

Answer:  The height of the cone is 8.6 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the volume of cone is given by :-

\text{Volume }=\dfrac{1}{3}\pi r^2h , where r= radius and h is height

Given : Volume of cone = 225 cm³

Base length = 10 cm

i.e. radius = \dfrac{10}{2}=5 \ cm  [cone has circular base]

Substitute these values in formula , we get

225=\dfrac{1}{3}(3.14)(5)^2(h)\\\\\Rightarrow\ h=\dfrac{225\times3}{3.14\times25}=8.59872611465\approx8.6

Hence, the height of the cone is 8.6 cm.

Complete question :

Tom will rent a car for the weekend. He can choose one of two plans. The first plan has an initial fee of $57.98 and costs an additional $0.14 per mile driven. The second plan has an initial fee of $53.98 and costs an additional $0.16 per mile driven. How many miles would Tom need to drive for the two plans to cost the same?

Answer:

200 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let miles driven = x

First option :

57.98 + 0.14x

Second option :

53.98 + 0.16x

First option = second option

57.98 + 0.14 = 53.98 + 0.16x

57.98 - 53.98 = 0.16x - 0.14x

4 = 0.02x

x = 200

200 miles
