A population of naked mole rats begins with 250 individuals in 2015. The population has a carrying capacity of 1,500 individuals

. If the population has an intrinsic rate of increase equal to 0.8, how large is the population in 2016?

dN/dT = rK (K-N)/K

Here, K is carrying capacity

N = Population size

r = Intrinsic rate

dN/dT = 0.8*250 (1500-250)/1500

dN/dT = 166.66 that is equivalent to 167 animal in a year

Thus, in 2015, there would be 250 individuals and in 2016, there would be 260+167 = 417 animals.

Answer:

The Rules of Protein Structure. The function of a protein is determined by its shape. The shape of a protein is determined by its primary structure (sequence of amino acids). The sequence of amino acids in a protein is determined by the sequence of nucleotides in the gene (DNA) encoding it.

How do the treatments for cancer work, and why can it sometimes make people sick or weak to have them?
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

Most treatments for cancer use radiation to target the cancerous cells (tumor) and blast radiation in that direction. Because we cannot control the radius of the radiation, other cells are also blasted with radiation and causes sickness in cancer patients.

The effects of anaerobic conditions how would anaerobic conditions (when no o2 is present) affect the rate of electron transport
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
Anaerobic condition refers to an environmental condition where oxygen is absent. In case of Electron Transport System (ETS) and ATP production, oxygen acts as the final acceptor of electrons. As oxygen is a reactant in ETS and ATP production, unavailability of oxygen can cause no oxidation of the coenzymes or the carriers such as NAPH and FADH2 and no ATP will be produced. Thus, both Electron Transport System and ATP production will stop in the absence of oxygen.
