3x-7>2
add 7 to both sides: 3x>9
divide both sides by 3: x>9

Basically you just do the opposite of whatever is being done to x. So, first, you would ADD 7 to both sides to cancel it out from the side where x is. Remember: the goal is to isolate x. So, add 7, and you have:

3x - 7 + 7  > 2 + 7

Note that -7 + 7 = 0. So, we have successfully cancelled out that term. Then, just do the rest of addition:

3x > 9

Then, the the 3 is being multiplied to x, and you want to get rid of it on that side. So, you do the opposite of multiplication, which is division. You can divide the inequality by 3 on both sides to get:

3x / 3 = 9 / 3 or:
x = 3.

Note that 3x / 3 is equal to 1x or just x. Here we want that 1 to not get rid of x, because we want to find the value of x.

Remember: isolation of x is what you want. If you need more help/have questions, feel free to tell me.

Express 0.7033 as a mixed number
viva [34]
We can make 0.7033 an improper fraction by multiplying it by 10,000 to get:

7033/10,000

Note that this cannot be a mixed number because 10,000, the denominator, is greater than 7033, the numerator.

You may have misspelled or typoed the question, or the question might be wrong, because 0.7033 can't be written as a mixed number.

What are the y-intercepts to graph the equation-4x - 3y = 36
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

Y-Int = -12

Step-by-step explanation:

First, I would change the equation to slope intercept form:

-3y = 36 + 4x

3y = -36 - 4x

y = -12-4/3x

y = -4/3x - 12

What is the rate of change and initial value for the linear relation that includes the points shown in the table?
uysha [10]
X   1 2 3
y 10 8 6
So find the slope m:  (6-10)/(3-1) = -4/2 = -2
Going backwards when x = 0, y will be 12 (you can see this)
So
<span>Initial value: 12, rate of change: −2
