Why are there blank pages in Sirian's book he gave to the humans in Micromegas

Micromegas promised to give them a rare book of philosophy, written in minute characters, for their special use, telling all that can be known of the ultimate essence of things, and he actually gave them the volume before his departure. It was carried to Paris and laid before the Academy of Sciences; but when the old secretary came to open it, the pages were blank.

This book with blank pages may indicate that life is complex and as such, should be completed with its own set of complexity. no book will ever describe humans. Even the lenth of our days is not within our grasp, "Micromegas answered: "Were you not a philosopher, I should fear to distress you by telling you our lives are 700 times as long as yours; but you know too well that when the time comes to give back one's body to the elements, and reanimate nature under another form--the process called death--when that moment of metamorphosis comes, it is precisely the same whether we have lived an eternity or only a day".

Could it also be that the wisdom of the ages could not be given to man? Would such knowledge be a help or would mankind turn it into a destructive force, as he had so many other thngs. Micromegas was appalled a man's ability to kill one another. The fact that they apeared so insignificant to him, only made it that much more difficult to grasp. He even took out a magnifying glass to examine if these creatures had a soul. No maybe man was best left to his own devises, rather than give them a gift they could use to bring themselves to extinction.

I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST AND ALL MY POINTS THAT ARE LEFT!!!
sweet [91]

Answer:

"Childhood doesn't last forever"

Explanation:

The theme of the story Marigolds is "Childhood doesn't last forever". I decided this was the theme because when she pulls out the marigolds it represents how she is not a child anymore. When she sees her father crying, she realizes that adults fail and feels extreme disappointment. In tormenting Miss Lottie and ripping up what she tried to create, Lizabeth expresses some of her own internalized rage. However, as she looks at Miss Lottie, she suddenly feels ashamed, realizing she has victimized not an "other" or a "witch" but a real human being like herself. Instead of wanting to continue to express wrath at her, she feels compassion for this older woman.

edit:

here is the text evidence:

"The child in me sulked and said it was all in

fun, but the woman in me flinched at the thought of the

malicious attack that I had led. " "I had indeed lost my mind, for all the

smoldering emotions of that summer swelled in me

and burst—the great need for my mother who was

never there, the hopelessness of our poverty and

degradation, the bewilderment of being neither child

nor woman and yet both at once, the fear unleashed

by my father’s tears. And these feelings combined in

one great impulse toward destruction." " The years have put words to the things I knew in that moment, and as I look back upon it, I

know that that moment marked the end of innocence."

hope this helps :)

How should we assess the use of literary techniques in a speech?
nignag [31]

Answer:

Stylistic devices make your speeches, essays etc. more interesting and lively and help you to get and keep your reader's / listener's attention.

Explanation:

Literary techniques are specific, deliberate constructions of language which an author uses to convey meaning. An author's use of a literary technique usually occurs with a single word or phrase, or a particular group of words or phrases, at one single point in a text.
