Answer:

1. Book value of equity

6 million x 8 = 48million

Book value of debt = 65 + 40 = 105 million

Total value = 105 + 48 = 153 million

Weight of equity = 48/153 = 0.3137

Weight of debt = 105/153 = 0.6863

2. Market value

= 6 million x 85 = 510million

= Market value of debt = (65m * 0.95) + (40m * 1.08)

= 61.75m + 43.2m

= 104.95million

Total value = 104.95 + 510 = 614.95million

Weight of equity on market value = 510/614.95 = 0.8293

Weight of debt on market value = 104.95/614.95 = 0.1707

3. Market value of weights are more relevant

Besides the actual mortgage payment, which also factors into the monthly payment on a home?
Pie
Aside from the actual mortgage payments, you also pay for your monthly property taxes, homeowner's insurance, and home repairs.

Sometimes homeowners also pay for monthly dues to their homeowners association. This monthly dues include water, sewer, garbage, and maintenance of other amenities like clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts.

The following events took place at a manufacturing company for the current year:
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer: $25,369.50

Explanation:

GIVEN THE FOLLOWING :

Purchased direct material = $97,000

(2) Incurred labor costs as follows: (a) direct, $58,000 and (b) indirect, $15,600.

(3) Other manufacturing overhead was $109,000, excluding indirect labor.

(4) Transferred 80% of the materials to the manufacturing assembly line.

(5) Completed 65% of the Work-in-Process during the year.

(6) Sold 85% of the completed goods.

(7) There were no beginning inventories.

Ending work in process inventory is calculated by;

(Beginning inventory + 0.8(direct material purchased) + direct Labor + (indirect labor + other manufacturing overhead)) × percentage Work in process

($0 + (0.8×97000) + 58000 + (15600+109000))×0.65

=($0 + $77,600 + $58,000 + 124600)×0.65 = $169,130

Ending WIP Inventory = (100-85)% × $169,130

0.15 × $169,130 = $25,369.50
