The green pigment chlorophyll is within the thylakoid membrane , the space between the thylakoid & chloroplast membranes is called the stroma. The light reactions take place in the thylakoid; that is where water is oxidized, and oxygen is released. Electrons that freed from the water are transferred to ATP & NADPH. Dark reactions the occur outside the thylakoid. In the reactions the energy from ATP and NADPH is used to fix carbon dioxide. The products of this reaction take place in the stroma ( the aqueous fluid surroudning the stack of thylakoids) & in the cytoplasm.

Pls help ASAP Which of the following is a key difference between mitosis and meiosis?
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

C. Mitosis produces cells that are identical genetically, while meiosis produces cells that differ.

Explanation:

Answer choice A is incorrect because mitosis actually creates identical cells while meiosis creates 23 genetically unique pairs.

Answer choice B is incorrect because neither produces "quicker" or "easier"

Answer choice D is incorrect because it is actually the opposite: Mitosis only has one cell division that provides two daughter cells, while Meiosis has two divisioins that result in four cells.

Thus, the most logical answer is C. Feel free to message me if you have any more biology questions!!

Coral reefs only form in ocean waters between 30 N and 30 S. The reefs are confined to shallow water because?
Viktor [21]
Reef-building corals were confined to relatively shallow depths because many of these corals have microscopic algae called zooxanthellae living inside their soft tissues.
These algae are often important for the corals’ nutrition and growth, but require sunlight for photosynthesis. There is no sunlight deep in the water.

rusak2 [61]

The buffer was too acidic i.e when a blood film is viewed through the microscope, the RBCs appear redder than normal, the neutrophils are barely visible, and the eosinophils are bright orange.

What are buffer used for?

Buffers are employed to keep the pH of a solution steady because they can neutralize little amounts of extra acid or base. There is a specific pH range for a certain buffer solution and a predetermined amount of acid or base that can be neutralized before the pH changes. The buffer capacity is the maximum amount of acid or base that can be supplied to a buffer without causing a pH change.

As a pH value greater than 7.8 or lower than 6.8 might result in mortality, human blood contains a buffer of carbonic acid (H2CO3) and bicarbonate anion (HCO3-) to keep blood pH between 7.35 and 7.45.
