Answer:income elasticity of demand for Americano coffees = 0.55

Explanation:

Income Elasticitity of demand = percentage change in quantity demanded / Percentage change in income

which can easily be calculated using

Income Elasticitity of demand =(New quantity  demanded - old quantity demanded/ old quantity)/(New Income - Old income /old income.

new income = $28

old income=$22

new quantity= 3450

old quantity=3000

Bringing down our formulae

Income Elasticitity of demand =(New quantitry  demanded - old quantity demanded/ old quantity)/(New Income - Old income /old income.

= {(3450-3000) /3000} /{(28-22)/22} =(450/3000) /(6/22) = 0.15/0.2727=0.55

income elasticity of demand for Americano coffees = 0.55

Here , we can see that we have a positive income elasticity of demand therefore Americano coffees is a normal good as an increase in income will lead to a rise in demand.  Also, the income elasticity of demand for this commodity is less than 1, therefore it is also a necessity good.

The Whitesell Athletic Corporation's bonds have a face value of $1,000 and a 10% coupon paid semi-annually. The bonds mature in
aniked [119]

Answer:

Bond Price = $1213.18605 rounded off to $1213.19

Explanation:

To calculate the price of the bond today, we will use the formula for the price of the bond. We assume that the interest rate provided is stated in annual terms. As the bond is a semi annual bond, the coupon payment, number of periods and semi annual YTM will be,

Coupon Payment (C) = 1,000 * 0.10 * 6/12  = $50

Total periods (n) = 10 * 2 = 20

r or YTM = 0.07 * 6/12 = 0.035

The formula to calculate the price of the bonds today is attached.

Bond Price = 50 * [( 1 - (1+0.035)^-20) / 0.035]  + 1000 / (1+0.035)^20

Bond Price = $1213.18605 rounded off to $1213.19

raketka [301]

Answer:

The options are :

$77,000 $80,850 $84,893 $89,137 $93,594

The correct option is the first one ,$77,000

Explanation:

The net income can be ascertained using the ending retained earnings formula provided thus:

ending retained earnings=beginning retained earnings+net income-dividends

ending retained earnings is $187,500

beginning retained earnings is $132,250

dividends paid during the year was $21,750

By changing the subject of the formula, net income formula is derived:

net income=ending retained earnings-beginning retained earnings+dividends

net income=$187,500-$132,250+$21,750=$ 77,000.00
