Solve the problem by writing an inequality. . . A club decides to sell T-shirts for $15 as a fundraiser. It costs $20 plus $9 pe

r T-shirt to make the T-shirts. Write and solve an equation to find how many T-shirts the club needs to make and sell in order to profit at least $150.. 15x – (9x + 20) ≥ 150; x ≥ 28.33. 15x – 9x + 20 ≥ 150; x ≥ 20. (8x + 20) – 15x ≥ 150; x ≥ 20. 15x – 9(x + 20) ≥ 150; x ≥ 20

<h3>What is Pythagoras theorem?</h3>

the well-known geometric theorem that the sum of the squares on the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square on the hypotenuse.

Given : Total length of arm = 3.4+3.4=6.8 ft

Applying Pythagoras in  triangle on right side we have,

H²=P²+ B²

6.8²= P² + 4.8²

46.24= P² +23.04

P²= 23.2

P= 4.81 feet

Similarly, on the triangle on left side.

Again we have the base as 4.81 feet.

Now,  the length of the bottom beam= 4.81*2

                                                             =9.16 feet

State the Midpoint formula?
kipiarov [429]
Let point A (x₁, y₁) and point B (x₂, y₂)

Mid-point formula is given by: [ \frac{x_1+x_2}{2}, \frac{y_1+y_2}{2}]

The distance formula is given by: \sqrt{(x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2}

The two formula are alike because they both need the information of two coordinate points

They are different because the mid point formula is adding up then divide by two, whereas the distance formula is subtracting then square the answer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Real life problem involving distance formula:

Plane A is spotted on a radar with cartesian coordinate (450, 640).
Plane B is spotted on the same radar with cartesian coordinate (350, 540)

Work out the distance between plane A and plane B.

Real life problem involving mid point formula

Ms. Holland arranges a treasure hunt for a group of scouts. She marks two points, C and D, with cartesian coordinate (-5, 6) and (7, 10) respectively. The clue is that the treasure is buried in the middle point between C and D. Work out the coordinate where the treasure is buried.
