8 = 4 + 2c

move 4 to the other side

the sign always changes when moving to the other side

8-4= 4-4+2c

8-4= 2c

4= 2c

divide both sides by 2 to get c by itself

4/2= 2c/2

Cross out 2 and 2 divide by 2 and then becomes 1*1*c= c

c= 4/2

Answer: c= 2

If m/8 =57, find m/1.
Valentin [98]

Answer:

696

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{m}{8}  = 87

First I would multiply each side by 8 to find what M is (because if you multiple m/8 by 8 the 8s will cancel out).

m=87*8\\m = 696

Because any number divided by 1 would just be itself, 696/1 is just 696.

Does (-10, -24) make the equation<br> y=-10 true?
Alisiya [41]

Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

No, this equation is not true. If you were to put these coordinates on a graph, or even if you didn't, the plot points (-10, -24) would look like this:

(x, y), or in this case (-x, -y).

The point -10 is the x-coordinate for this problem, and the -24 is the y-coordinate. The question is basically asking if the y-coordinate is -10. It is not, so this equation is not true.

I hope that this helps.
