There is a mandatory fixed rate of $ 35 that Raphael will have to pay once the service call has been made. This fixed rate is the constant.

The per hour rate is $20. Suppose the machine took "x" hours to get fixed. Then the variable part of the repair cost will be 20x.

Thus, Repair Cost=Fixed Rate Cost+Variable Cost

Or, y=35+20x where y is the total repair cost. Thus, if Raphael ‘s machine took 2 hour to fix, the repair cost is:

y=35+20\times 2=35+40=75 dollars.

Therefore, the last option is the correct option.

I. $75

Your equation would be 35 + 20x

X is the amount of hours it was fixed

35 + 20 x 2

SOLUTIONS

Solve a given equations or algebraic symbols?

\begin{gathered} f(x)=x^2+2x \\ g(x)=1-x^2 \end{gathered}

(A)

\begin{gathered} (f+g)(x)=(x^2+2x)+(1-x^2) \\ collect\text{ like terms} \\ x^2-x^2+2x+1 \\ (f+g)(x^)=2x+1 \end{gathered}

(B)

\begin{gathered} (f-g)(x)=(x^2+2x)-(1-x^2) \\ =x^2+2x-1+x^2 \\ =x^2+x^2+2x-1 \\ (f-g)(x)=2x^2+2x-1 \end{gathered}

(C)

\begin{gathered} fg(x)=(x^2+2x)(1-x^2) \\ =x^2-x^4+2x-2x^3 \\ fg(x)=-x^4-2x^3+x^2+2x \end{gathered}

(D)

\begin{gathered} \frac{f}{g}(x)=(x^2+2x)\div(1-x^2) \\ =\frac{x^2+2x}{1-x^2} \end{gathered}

A particular fruit's weights are normally distributed, with a mean of 618 grams and a standard deviation of 24 grams. If you pic
Lorico [155]
Answer: The probability is 0.5136.

To find this probability we have to find the range of the values on the normal distribution table.

First, we need to find the percent for each making z-score.

Lower end: 50/24 = 2.08 = 0.0183

Upper end: 2/24 = 0.08 = 0.5319

Now, that we have the upper and lower ends, we can subtract them to find the difference or the range.

0.5319 - 0.0183 = 0.5136

There is a 51.36% chance they are in the given range.
