Easy, first change them into improper fractions,

24 1/2= \frac{49}{2}

32 3/5= \frac{163}{5}

44 1/8= \frac{353}{8}

Now, find a common denominator to add them up. (40)

\frac{49}{2}* \frac{20}{20} = \frac{980}{40}

\frac{163}{5}* \frac{8}{8} = \frac{1304}{40}

\frac{353}{8}* \frac{5}{5}= \frac{1765}{40}

Add them up

\frac{4049}{40}, or in mixed number form 101 9/40.

Get a common denominator, in this case, we can use 40
multiply the numerator and denominator of each fraction to get the common denominator equivilent
1/2*20= 20/40
3/5*8= 24/40
1/8*5= 5/40
now add the numerators together
20+24+5= 49/40 or 1 and 9/40
add the whole numbers
24+32+44= 100
add the previous numbers
101 and 9/40

Step-by-step explanation:

A line is 180 degrees. I found the degree of the angles in-between 126 and M by subtracting 126 from 180. This means that M is also 126. (Plus the intersecting lines are parallel)

Dennis_Churaev [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

Did you mean

Evaluate 3/2 + (-k) + (-2) where k = -5/2

= 3/2 - (-5/2) - 2

= 3/2 + 5/2 - 2

= 8/2 - 2

= 4 - 2

= 2

The random variable X is exponentially distributed, where X represents the waiting time to be seated at a restaurant during the
erastova [34]

Answer:

The probability that the wait time is greater than 14 minutes  is 0.4786.

Step-by-step explanation:

The random variable <em>X</em> is defined as the waiting time to be seated at a restaurant during the evening.

The average waiting time is, <em>β</em> = 19 minutes.

The random variable <em>X</em> follows an Exponential distribution with parameter \lambda=\frac{1}{\beta}=\frac{1}{19}.

The probability distribution function of <em>X</em> is:

f(x)=\lambda e^{-\lambda x};\ x=0,1,2,3...

Compute the value of the event (<em>X</em> > 14) as follows:

P(X>14)=\int\limits^{\infty}_{14} {\lambda e^{-\lambda x}} \, dx=\lambda \int\limits^{\infty}_{14} {e^{-\lambda x}} \, dx\\=\lambda |\frac{e^{-\lambda x}}{-\lambda}|^{\infty}_{14}=e^{-\frac{1}{19} \times14}-0\\=0.4786

Thus, the probability that the wait time is greater than 14 minutes  is 0.4786.
