Cost drivers for the activities are as below:

Basic Delux Total

Fabrication 2000 10000 12000

Assembly 8000 24000 32000

Set up 5 15 20

Total Cost of below activities are as follows:

Fabricators $246000

Assembly $144000

Set Up $110000

Cost per Activity= Total Cost per Activity/Total Cost Driver per activity

Fabrication= 246000/12000=$20.5 per dlh

Assembly=144000/32000=$4.5 per dlh

Set-up=110000/20=$5500set up

Drivers used for production of Deluxe kayak along with cost:

Fabricators=10000 dlh*$20.5 per dlh= $205000

Assembly= 24000dlh*$4.5 per dlh= $108000

Set Up=15 set ups*$5500 per set up= $82500

Total Cost= $395500

Cost per unit= $395500/2500 units

Cost per Unit= $158.20 per unit.

The following annual amounts pertain to the Wolf Company: Estimated Overhead Costs $ 101,988 Estimated Direct Labor hours 67,992
mezya [45]

Answer:

under applied by $1,000.

Explanation:

The formula is shown below:

Predetermined overhead rate = (Total estimated manufacturing overhead) ÷ (estimated direct labor-hours)

= $101,998 ÷ 67,992 hours

= $1.50

Now we have to find the applied overhead which equal to

= Actual direct labor-hours × predetermined overhead rate

= 70,000 hours × $1.50

= $105,000

So, the ending overhead equals to

= Actual manufacturing overhead - actual overhead

= $106,000 - $105,000

= $1,000 under-applied

In the short run, a perfectly competitive firm should shut down whenever minimum average variable cost exceeds price minimum ave
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

A. minimum average variable cost exceeds price.

Explanation:

In a perfect competition, there are many buyers and sellers of homogeneous products, and there is free entry and exit in the market.

This simply means that, in a perfectly competitive market, there are many buyers and sellers (price takers) of homogeneous products (standardized products with substitute) and the market is free (practically open) to all individuals or business entities that are willing to trade all their goods and services.

Hence, a perfectly competitive market is characterized by the following features;

1. Perfect information.

2. No barriers, it is typically free.

3. Equilibrium price and quantity.

4. Many buyers and sellers.

5. Homogeneous products.

Examples of a perfectly competitive market are the Agricultural sector, e-commerce and the foreign exchange market

In the short run, a perfectly competitive firm should shut down whenever minimum average variable cost exceeds price.

However, the firms always strive to maximize profits by increasing their level of output, such that P = MC. Also, the firms wouldn't be willing to leave or enter into the market because they are not making any profit, such that P=AC.
